My experience moving through the world as a neurodivergent person is tremendously influential on the work I create. I aim to express my perspective through my artwork in ways that I am unable to do with words, mainly through painting, drawing, and printmaking mediums. Although neurodivergence comes with hardships, my quiet nature has ultimately gifted me a lifetime of silent observation and contemplation that I am eager to document through my creative process.
My introspective and reminiscent tendencies have led me to explore themes of memory, rumination, and reflection on the past. In my artwork, I explore memory as something that is fleeting and yet simultaneously lasting. I gain much of my inspiration from meaningful memories, spaces, and objects from my past. I use painting, collage, and image transfer to create a layering of texts, documents, and images that are lasting, and representative of these fading moments in time.
